Ashlee Evans-Smith Makes UFC Debut Against Raquel Pennington at UFC 181

UFC newcomer Holly Holm was set to make her highly-anticipated debut against Raquel Pennington at UFC 181. Unfortunately, a neck injury forced Holm out of the fight. The UFC decided to keep Pennington on the card in hopes of finding her a replacement opponent, which they’ve successfully done.

The UFC have announced that Pennignton’s replacement opponent is newly signed Ashlee Evans-Smith, who is 3-0 in her pro MMA career and is known for defeating highly-controversial fighter, Fallon Fox.

Evans-Smith most recently fought at WSOF 10 and defeated Marciea Allen by third round TKO.

Raquel Pennington has a pro MMA record of 4-4. She is 1-1 in the UFC’s Octagon and is coming off a loss to Jessica Andrade back at UFC 171.

UFC 181 takes place on December 6th, 2014 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
