Bethe Correia Wants To Punch The Mole Off Ronda Rousey’s Face
UFC women’s bantamweight Bethe Correia has taken women’s MMA by storm with winning all three of her fights inside the UFC’s Octagon. She’s also never one to shy away with giving her opinions on fellow female fighters in her division, most specifically, Ronda Rousey.
The Brazilian, who goes by the nickname ‘Pitbull’, has now gone a step further by offering to knock the mole off Ronda Rousey’s face.
Speaking to MMA Fighting‘s Guilherme Cruz, here’s what she said:
“I will knock Ronda out in the first round. I want her to beat Zigano fast and without injuries, so we can fight right after. I want to be the one to take her title.
I will knock Ronda out in the first round, but first I’ll do her a favor and knock that mole off her face with a punch.
People know me as the horsewomen killer. I killed two already, and I will kill the number one next. I’m cleared to fight in March, and I will fight whoever they want. Whoever steps inside the Octagon with me will go down. I want to be known as the greatest knockout artist in the UFC.”
Ronda Rousey takes on Cat Zingano at UFC 184, which takes place on February 28th, 2015 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
A win for Rousey would give her five straight in her UFC career and bring her overall record to 11-0. However, Cat Zingano is not a fighter anybody, including Rousey, should take lightly.
As mentioned above, Bethe Correia is 3-0 in the UFC and 9-0 in her MMA career. Correria’s last two opponents were Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler, two women who are very close friends to Rousey and are members of ‘The Four Horsewomen’.
Unfortunately, the only member of ‘The Four Horsewomen’ crew who can seem to get a win is Ronda Rousey, as Duke, Baszler and amateur MMA fighter, Marina Shafir, have all lost their previous fights.
A fight between Rousey and Correia could be massive if the UFC decided to have the fight take place in Brazil, a location Rousey has stated she’d love to fight in.
Let’s hope all the cards fall into place and we get to see this bitter grudge match.
