On November 12th Conor McGregor became the first UFC fighter to ever hold titles in two different divisions simultaneously. In the post-fight press conference he demanded a piece of the ownership of the company.
Right after announcing he is expecting a child due next May, McGregor said he wants a share of the company that was recently sold for more than $4 billion dollars.
Among the new owners of the company are 23 celebrities. These are some of the most prominent names:
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Talk show hosts Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel. Actors Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, and Ben Affleck. Musicians Adam Levine, LL Cool J, Anthony Kiedis and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
And it looks like one of those generous celebrities is willing to share his ownership of the UFC with the Irish champion.
When asked if he thinks McGregor should be given a share in the company, he first said Conor needs to “cut the check” like everyone else. When the reporter was about to ask him again, Mark replied: “Absolutely! As a matter of fact, I’ll give him a piece of mine because he is the face of the UFC right now.
“He deserves that.”
Speaking to American gossip site TMZ, he added: “He’s a hustler like me, so there is probably a lot of opportunities for us to go out and make money together.”
