Conor McGregor Vs Nate Diaz Now Official For UFC 200
The UFC has officially announced that Conor McGregor will face Nate Diaz again in a rematch at UFC 200 In Las Vegas, NV. This fight will officially take place at 170 lbs again. The last time they fought, Diaz was able to weather the early storm and was able to capitalize on the feet in the 2nd round and stuffed McGregor’s takedown attempt. Diaz then was able to mount McGregor, land punches and then sunk in the rear-naked choke to finish the fight.
McGregor will have a better idea what it is like to move up in weight classes and also have more time to prepare. Diaz on the other hand will barely have to cut weight again and knows the advantage that he has on the ground. It will be interesting to see how each of the fighters will do and what their strategy will be when the next fight comes.
The PPV count for this fight will probably even beat the last one and this fight will be one of the most highly anticipated rematches in UFC history. There will be an interim featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 also because McGregor will be out of his division for so long.
Here is the tweet that stated that the fight will be at 170 lbs:
