Dan Henderson Interested in Jacare Souza Fight at UFC 182
Although MMA legend Dan Henderson is 44-years-old, he has no plans of retiring anytime soon. The former PRIDE FC two-division champion has set his sights on a fight with UFC middleweight top contender, Jacare Souza.
Earlier this week, Sherdog reported that the Brazilian had interest in fighting Henderson, at light heavyweight.
But as far as Henderson is concerned, he would rather the fight take place at middleweight, and at UFC 182, on January 3rd, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I would be more then happy to give Jacare what he wants. Except I would do it at MW and Jan 3rd. (cont) http://t.co/9RFrGSfyLV

Dan Henderson last fought at UFC 173, and was absolutely manhandled by Daniel Cormier, and submitted in the third round. The loss made Henderson 1-4 in his last five appearances in the Octagon.
Jacare Souza is on fire! going 11-1 in his past twelve appearances in a Strikeforce cage and UFC Octagon. Souza’s one loss came at the hands of fellow middleweight contender, Luke Rockhold, back in Strikforce in 2011.
With Souza being very close to being granted a title shot, perhaps Henderson’s thinking is that if he can defeat the Brazilian, then he can once again be seen as a title contender himself.
There hasn’t been any kind of indication for the UFC that they’d be interested in making this fight, as of yet.
