Dana White: GSP Will Not Headline UFC in Toronto

While fans and media have been patiently waiting for the hopeful announcement of the former longterm welterweight kingpin returning to MMA, it seems we won’t get the news after all.

At least that’s what Dana tells us, who has always told the truth in the past…

The pay-per-view, UFC 207, will be headlined by the rematch of Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. Which ended by a DC third-round rear naked choke to win the vacated title.

Although there is a TBD fight (to be determind) slot above DC-Johnson at UFC.com, Dana ensures everyone that Cormier is indeed the main event of the evening. “You’re the main event,” Dana commented. “There shouldn’t be a TBD above you.”

Having been out of competition since late 2013, GSP has entered USADA testing just recently as well as possible contract negotiations. Dana White concludes that he knows guys who want to fight, and GSP is not one of them.
