Dana White Says Georges St-Pierre Won’t Fight Again
UFC president Dana White partook in a media scrum this weekend in Las Vegas during the massive fight weekend which will see the UFC hold three events, with the concluding event being the monumental UFC 200.
During the scrum, Dana White was asked about the status of former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
“Georges St-Pierre will not fight again. I’ve said that before, and I’ll say it again. Georges St-Pierre is done. He’s retired. He will not fight again. I wholeheartedly believe you will never see Georges St-Pierre in the Octagon again unless he’s cornering someone”
There’s a chance that this could either be a negotiation tactic on Dana White’s part, or a smoke-screen for a future fight announcement for St-Pierre.
A little over two weeks ago, Georges St-Pierre told Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’ that he was returning to fight because he didn’t want to regret not doing it when he gets old.
Dana White makes the comments at the 7:58 mark of the video.
