At UFC 206, the last time former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez stepped into the Octagon, he reportedly earned $40,000 in Reebok sponsorship money as the UFC lightweight champion. After losing to Conor McGregor by a 2nd round TKO, Alvarez lost the title. Now he is reportedly set to earn just $5,000 in his upcoming fight Dustin Poirier this weekend at UFC 211.

Apparently that doesn’t sit too well with the former champ, as Alvarez put black tape over the logo on his Reebok hat during the UFC 211 media day yesterday and over his shorts during weigh ins.
