Former Strikeforce Champion ‘Feijao’ And Daniel Sarafian Released By The UFC

Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante and Daniel Sarafian have just recently been released by the UFC. Cavalcante was 1-4 in the UFC and Sarafian was 2-4 in the UFC. I’m sure both fighter’s were not surprised that the cut from the UFC because of their losing records. Both fighters had fantastic MMA resume’s before entering the UFC, but most fighters end up finding out that the UFC is a whole different ball-game compared to other organizations.

Cavalcante is a former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion and has notable wins over Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal and Yoel Romero, but facing fighters such as Ovince St. Preux and Ryan Bader opened Cavalcante’s eyes to how hard it is to go against some of the top fighters in the UFC.

Sarafian is an Ultimate Fighter finalist and looked solid as can be on the show, but did not end up having that same momentum once he got into the UFC. It is possible that either fighter could end up receiving a call again from the UFC if they get a few wins in other organizations, but only time will tell.
