Gabi Garcia Returns To Fight In Rizin April 17th Against a Flyweight
Gabi Garcia returns to the Rizin Fighting Federation again in just a few weeks to take on Anna Malyukova on April 17th. This fight will take place in Nagoya, Japan.
Garcia has been a widely talked about subject in MMA ever since she showed up on the Ultimate Fighter Brazil as a BJJ coach for team Wanderlei Silva. She has been a jiu-jitsu champion for years and is now just transitioning into MMA. Garcia is also known for her massive physique and there is a lot of speculation about her taking male hormones or some other type of performance enhancing drugs. Garcia is freakishly strong for women’s MMA. Malyukova is also 1-0 in her career and comes out of Russia. Malyukova is a flyweight that will be taking on a much larger opponent in Garcia.
This event will feature a grappling match with Kazushi Sakuraba and Hideo Tokoro teaming up against Wanderlei Silva. Garcia won her first MMA bout against Lei’D Tapa in a one round slugfest. We possibly might get to see Garcia display her high-level jiu-jitsu in the bout this time. It will be interesting to see what approach Garcia takes in this fight against the much smaller fighter in Malyukova.
