Another former professional football player is looking to transition into the world of mixed martial arts.

And this time it’s athletically gifted Greg Hardy; the former Panthers and Cowboys defensive end. We can already see in the picture above he is getting ready for the transition as he is reportedly training somewhere in Dallas, Texas.

Hardy ran a 4.8 in the 40 yard dash as well as holding a 28 in. vertical jump, which is absolutely crazy for his 6 ft 5 in., 285 lb. frame. In MMA alone, being an athletic standout can be only beneficial, but it means even more in the heavyweight division where not too many of fighters are athletic.

The 2013 pro-bowler set a new single-season sack record for the Panthers in 2015 with 15 sacks as well as a single-game sack record with 4 sacks.

No word on where Hardy will land with a promotion or how long he will train for before looking to land a debut.
