Gustafsson vs Nogueira expected to headline UFC Fight Night 100
A lightweight heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is expected to headline UFC’s November 19th event in Brazil. The news was first reported by Brazilian website Combate.
Alexander Gustafsson recently got back in the win column after losing two straight fights, when he defeated Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93 earlier this month.
With a record of 2-3 in his last five appearances in the Octagon, Gustafsson will need to string a few wins together if he wants to fight for the UFC light heavyweight title again.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira also snapped a two-fight losing streak in his last fight, when he defeated Patrick Cummins at UFC 198 in Brazil. With his last win, Nogueira is 3-2 in his last five trips to the UFC’s Octagon.
The location and venue in Brazil has not been made official as of yet, but it’s believed that the event will take place in Sao Paulo.
