UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones Reportedly Spends Only One Night in Rehab

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones reportedly spent only one night in a rehab facility after his failed drug test for cocaine incident.

The news was revealed by the Binghamton news station WBNG. Jones also plans to attend this weekend’s AFC Championship game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, since his brothers will be playing in the game.

The news station also interviewed Jones’ mother about the situation. And like most of the people surrounding Jones, she is glad he got caught and hopes he learned a lesson.

Here’s what she said:

“When he tested positive, my first question was, do you have a problem, a serious problem? And then he told me what happened. Jon is usually very honest with me, so he told me what happened. I was like, good for you….good. You needed to be caught, it was just timing.

You know, it did not affect his game, it was not in his system during the fight, so he’s still a good athlete. So before something becomes serious of it, I was glad it was nipped in the butt.”

But can a man learn a lesson in one night in a rehab facility? That’s very doubtful, and it doesn’t make it look like Jones is taking the whole ordeal seriously.

But then again, it’s unclear if he is seeking treatment away from the facility for his cocaine use. We will try and dig for more info on the situation and provide you an update.
