Matt Mitrione Appealing His Loss To Travis Browne
UFC heavyweight ,Matt Mitrione, is not to happy with the officiating he had for his UFC Fight Night 81 fight, against Travis Browne. Mitrione is claiming that referee, Gary Foreman, made crucial errors overseeing the fight, and he wants the TKO loss overturned.
Mitrione feels that after multiple eye-poke infractions from Travis Browne, that the referee should have haulted the bout and declared Mitrione the winner by disqualification. You can see the official appeal documents, courtesy of Duane Finley – here.
UFC Fight Night 81 took place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. In the appeal to the Massachusetts State Commission, it claims that there was a conflict of interest, for referee Gary Foreman being licensed in the first place, due to his inexperience.
Matt Mitrione started his pro MMA career as a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter season 10. Mitrione had a good start in the UFC, going 5-0 before suffering back-to-back losses. His overall record is 9-5.
