Two belts for Conor McGregor? If he wins at UFC 205, it may only be for a night.
The fight is official and UFC featherweight Conor McGregor will continue his run through the UFC as he challenges lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez for the title at UFC 205.
Dana White took to SportsCenter to talk about the Nov.12 bout at Madison Square Garden.
“He wants to try to gain both belts and he will give up one of the titles after that fight in New York,” White said on ESPN.
White declined to answer which one of the titles would be vacated, but popular belief is that McGregor’s team would prefer that the champ not cut down to 145-pounds should he win the 155-pound belt.
UFC 205 press conference will be live on Tuesday at 6pmET. Catch it here at VendettaFighter.com
