Megan Anderson vs Charmaine Tweet headlines Invicta FC 21

Invicta Fighting Championships begins its 2017 season at home. Historic Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. once again hosts the leader in women’s mixed martial arts, serving as the site of Invicta FC 21 on Saturday, January 14th.

Announced during the broadcast of Invicta FC 20, 26-year-old featherweight prospect Megan Anderson will face Canadian veteran Charmaine Tweet in the main event of Invicta FC 21.

Anderson, a native of Australia’s Gold Coast, now calls the Kansas City metro area home, training out of Glory MMA & Fitness in Lee’s Summit, Mo. She enters the bout on a three-fight winning streak, all three coming by way of knockout.

Tweet, also having won three-in-a-row, last competed at Invicta FC 17 in May, impressively knocking out then-undefeated Latoya Walker via spinning backfist.

Recently signed boxing world champion Heather “The Heat” Hardy will make her professional mixed martial arts debut at Invicta FC 21 in a flyweight contest.

The Brooklyn-born Hardy enters the cage with an unblemished record of 18-0 inside the boxing ring and currently holds the WBC international female featherweight and super bantamweight titles.
