Miesha Tate vs Sara McMann Set For UFC 183 in Las Vegas

Although UFC women’s bantamweights Miesha Tate and Bethe Correia have been going after each other on social networking platforms for some time, the UFC has decided to instead match-up Tate with Sara McMann instead.

The Miesha Tate vs Sara McMann bout has been added to UFC 183 which takes place on January 31st in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miesha Tate last saw action in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 52 in Japan when she defeated UFC newcomer Rin Nakai via unanimous decision.

The win for Tate made her 3-2 in her last five fights. She’s also on a two-fight win streak, beating Liz Carmouche previously.

Sara McMann, who is a former Gold medalist in Olympic Wrestling, last saw action in the UFC’s Octagon at UFC Fight Night 47 when she defeated Lauren Murphy via split-decision.

Sara McMann lost her fight previous to that against UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey at UFC 170.
