Bellator Summer Series Will Start June 22

Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney has confirmed that the Summer Series of events will kick off June 22.

Bellator 71 will be held at the Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort in Chester, WV. This will be their first show in the state & the first major promotion to visit since MMA was legalized in early 2011. It is right near the Ohio & Pennsylvania borders so they hope to draw from the neighbouring areas to bring in a sold out crowd.

At this time there are no fights announced but it will be a difficult card to draw ratings with. The same evening UFC on FX 4 takes place with Clay Guida & Gray Maynard headlining.
