Dana White Talks About Possibility Of One Armed Fighter In The UFC And MMA Being An Olympic Sport

TMZ caught up with UFC president Dana White, asked him if he knew who one armed XFC fighter Nick Newell was and if he would allow a one armed fighter in the UFC. White also comments on MMA becoming an Olympic sport.

When asked if he knew who Nick Newell is and if UFC would accept a one armed fighter on their roster:

“I think it’s hard to fight in the UFC with two arms. I never say never to anything, but it’s hard to do with two arms let alone one arm, but there are amazing people out there who accomplish incredible things.”

When asked if UFC (MMA) will ever be an Olympic sport:

“It should be, I mean if you think about it right now, Boxing, you can punch to the head and body, Judo, you can throw and do submissions, Taekwondo, you can kick and punch, and Wrestling you can take down, do throws.

All those things are what the UFC and mixed martial arts are. So it’s just putting them all together, it should be. But it’s not my job, I got enough shit to do”
