Dana White To Eddie Alvarez After His TKO Win Over Patricky Freire: “Congrats Bro, Lets Talk”

Last night at Bellator 76, former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez took on Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire, in what was likely his last fight for the organization. Alvarez went on the get a thrilling TKO victory in the first round via head-kick & punches.

It didn’t take long for UFC president Dana White to take to his official Twitter account, and let Alvarez know that he is interested in negotiating a contract with him.

Eddie Alvarez has been widely seen as one of the top lightweight fighters in the world for the past few years. He has a 24-3 pro record and has a wealth of experience in North America as well as Japan.

His most notable wins have been against Shinya Aoki and Roger Huerta. His only loss in his past ten fights was to Michael Chandler, who submitted Alvarez in the fourth round of their highly competitive and exciting fight.

Could Dana White sign Alvarez to jump right into the UFC lightweight mix? Or will he ask Eddie to take on Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez first.

We should all know the answer soon.
