Bellator lightweight Eddie Alvarez will fulfill his contract & compete for one last time in Bellator on October 15 at the Caesars Windsor Hotel & Casino in Windsor, ON Canada.
Speculation on Alvarez moving to the UFC or possibly Strikeforce has been talked about for months now. Once this final fight is out of the way you can expect a decision to be made soon.
A co-promoted fight between Bellator & Strikeforce to have Alvarez face Gilbert Melendez was talked about previously. Once Zuffa purchased Strikeforce the talk disappeared. It may still be a possibility as Alvarez could be signed to face Melendez then eventually move on to the UFC.
