Former WWE Champion Batista Books 1st MMA Fight

It has been teased for quite a long time but finally former WWE heavyweight champion Batista is booked for his first MMA fight.


He will fight for CES MMA who are based out of Rhode Island. The 43 year old ex-professional wrestler will debut October 6 at the Duncan Doughnuts Theater in Providence, RI.

His opponent will be Rashid Evans, not UFC fighter Rashad Evans. Batista is listed at 6’6″ & 290 lbs. A weight cut will be needed to get under the 265 lb. maximum for heavyweights. It is reported the card will be on pay per view but nothing is confirmed at this time.
