UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, took to his official Twitter account to let the MMA world know that he is now partaking in full-time training sessions after successfully completing rehabilitation on his surgically repaired knee.
St-Pierre last appeared in the Octagon when he defended his title against Jake Shields in front of a record breaking crowd of 55,000 people in Toronto for UFC 129, back in April of 2011.
He was set to take on Nick Diaz at UFC 143, but the UFC switched his opponent to Carlos Condit when Diaz failed to comply with his media obligations.
On December 7th 2011, the bad news was revealed that St-Pierre would likely be sidelined for a minimum of ten months with an ACL injury.
The UFC then set up a welterweight interim title fight between Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz, which saw Condit walk away the winner.
Georges St-Pierre is expected to make his return at UFC 154 in Montreal, Canada and face Carlos Condit to unify the welterweight title on November 17th 2012.
