The UFC welterweight contender spoke at the UFC 143 post fight press conference after defeating Mike Pierce via split decision.
He spoke about the usual stuff that fighters do after a fight, and dropped a bombshell by stating his is parting ways with his longtime training camp American Kickboxing Academy:
“I’ll be training out of Fresno [, California] from now on. I’m no longer affiliated with some of the people at the gym I’ve been training at. It was a tough camp knowing that this was my last camp there. I’m going to do my own thing.”
This could now open the door for an eventual fight between Koscheck and Jon Fitch. Although with Fitch suffering a quick KO loss at the hand of Johny Hendricks at UFC 141, he may need a couple of wins to be awarded that match-up.
