UFC middleweight Mark Munoz could be out of action for up to a year if a foot injury he sustained is as bad as feared.
Munoz spoke about the injury.
“I hurt my foot training for the Weidman fight. I was training with Jason (Miller) inside the cage and my foot got caught. I am not sure if it is broken.
I will be getting an official MRI tomorrow and I will know. I just hope they do not have to break it in order for it to heal properly as it has somewhat started to heal.”
Last year Munoz suffered an elbow injury that took him out for several months. Upon his return he was knocked out by Weidman & fell down the middleweight ladder. After the loss Munoz had to battle a staph infection which spread to his knee & forehead.
It has been a tough road for Munoz. He was one win away from a title shot it appeared & now has to battle another injury before he can attempt to climb the ladder one more time.
