UFC lightweight Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout was on Toronto’s Fan 590 radio & announced a memorial golf tournament to celebrate & honour the life of Shawn Tompkins.
The tournament was confirmed to take place on Sunday August 26, 2012 at the FireRock Golf Club jut west of London, ON. Registration is $125 which will include golf, lunch, dinner and many prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada as well as the Shawn Tompkins Memorial Fund.
The 2 hole in one prizes are a car & something they are calling “The Ultimate Global UFC Experience”. If you can sink a hole in one on that particular hole you will win air, hotel and event tickets to a future UFC event anywhere in the world.
As of right not the confirmed participants are MMA fighters Sam Stout, Mark Hominick, Shawn Pierson and Chris Horodecki. Shawn’s widow Emilie Tompkins & MMA media personalty Showdown Joe Ferraro will also be on hand.
