The UFC president Dana White took to his Twitter to reveal that UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will take on MMA legend Dan Henderson in Las Vegas September 1st:
Jones has defended his title three times since dismantling Mauricio “Shogun” Rua back at UFC 128.
This very well could be Henderson’s last chance at UFC gold. He had two chances so far, first one being against Quinton Jackson to unify the PRIDE and UFC light-heavyweight titles at UFC 75, which he lost by decision.
Henderson then faced Anderson Silva to unify the middleweight title at UFC 82 and was submitted in the 2nd round.
