Nunes to Rousey: She Is Going To Be Very Surprised

Ronda Rousey is back, and much has changed in her division since she lost the title last November to Holm. Since then, the title has changed hands two more times.

Amanda Nunes sits atop of the women’s bantamweight division now and will have another big event in front of her.

Coming off her first-round finish over Miesha Tate in the headliner of the UFC’s 200th PPV, Nunes finds herself defending the title against one of the sports biggest draws, Ronda Rousey. With Ronda’s year layoff and coming off a loss, this fight that most likely headlines UFC 207 brings even more pressure and attention onto the champion and challenger.

Nunes isn’t the one to be intimidated and shy away from the biggest challenge of her career though. “I know I’m going to beat Ronda Rousey. I’ve been training for Ronda Rousey since my first fight in the UFC,” Nunes said.

Even though Rousey comes in as a 3-1 favorite on the Vegas odds, Nunes doesn’t care. Letting the world know she loves being the underdog, and everyone is expecting Rousey to win so it will be even tougher task for her to make a successful comeback.

“My message to her is to say thank you, this fight’s going to change my life, my career, and I hope she’s ready. I know she’s a very tough opponent, but I’m the best in the world,” Nunes told TMZ.

“She’s going to be very surprised when I touch her, when I connect with my punches.”
