Strong Rumor: Patrick Cote vs Joe Riggs in the Works For UFC 186

Vendetta Fighter has gotten word that verbal agreements are in place that will see Patrick Cote take on Joe Riggs at UFC 186 in Montreal, Canada.

Patrick Cote has gone 3-2 in his last five fights in the UFC’s Octagon. He lost his last fight against Stephen Thompson at UFC 178 by unanimous decision. Cote also lives and trains in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Joe Riggs recently returned to the UFC after fighting in many other organizations since 2006. A self-inflicted gunshot wound prevented him from facing Paulo Thiago at UFC Fight Night 51.

Unfortunately for Riggs, he sustained a neck injury while attempting to slam Saunders to the mat. Riggs sensed there was an issue and decided to err on the side of caution by tapping out.
