Piotr Hallman Fails UFC Fight Night 51 Post-Fight Drug Test
The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission has announced that UFC lightweight Piotr Hallman has failed his UFC Fight Night 51 post-fight drug test, for drostanolone, a popular steroid. The Polish fighter lost to Gleison Tibau, via split decision, back on September 13th, 2014.
The loss to Tibau brings Hallman’s UFC record to 2-2. The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission have handed Hallman a nine month suspension for the failure. Although Hallman took home a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus of $50,000, he’ll likely have to forfeit it, due to the failed drug test.
All other fighters who were tested on the card had passed. Hallman will be subjected to another drug test at the conclusion of his suspension, before being reinstated and eligible to step back into the Octagon.
