UFC women’s bantamweight Sara McMann recently took to Twitter to reveal that a fight with fellow UFC bantamweight Miesha Tate is in the process of being made.

McMann, an Olympic gold medalist in Wrestling, is coming off a split decision victory over Lauren Murphy, which took place back at UFC Fight Night 47.

Tate, fought recently at UFC Fight Night 52 and defeated UFC newcomer, Rin Nakai.

It’s likely that there’s a verbal agreement in place between the two fighters to meet, in order for McMann to make those claims publicly. All that’s left if for the UFC, is to officially pick which event, and get both fighters to sign the bout agreements.

Sara McMann is 2-1 in her UFC career, and Miesha Tate is an even 2-2. With a short list of contenders for current UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, a win for either of these ladies can put them in a good position in their division.

However, both women have previously lost to Rousey, with Tate being 0-2 against the champion.
