Six Fighters Released By UFC

Six fighters were released by the UFC within this past week. Those fighters are light heavyweight Guto Inocente, welterweight Chris Heatherly as well as lightweight’s Fabricio Camoes, Isaac Vallie-Flagg, Garett Whiteley and Charlie Brenneman.

Guto Inocente went 0-2 in the UFC. He was knocked out in his first fight by Derrick Lewis, and submitted by Anthony Perosh for his second loss. With being 28-years-old and only having ten MMA fights, it’s a possibility Inocente could win some fights outside of the organization and be welcomed back in the future.

Chris Heatherly also went 0-2 in the Octagon. With losses to Ben Saunders and Augusto Montano. Heatherly is 27-years-old and has had eleven MMA fights. Judging by his tweet posted below, he has every intention of getting back into the UFC, at some point.

Fabricio Camoes went 1-3-1 in his UFC career, but lost his last three-fights in the Octagon. With Camoes being 36-years-old and near the tail-end of his career, it does not look like he’ll get another call from the UFC.

Isaac Vallie-Flagg went 1-3 in the UFC. He won his first fight over long-time MMA veteran, Yves Edwards. But lost his last three-fights. Flagg is 36-years-old and has already offered his services to Bellator MMA.

Garett Whiteley didn’t have a great run in the UFC, as he lost all three of his fights in the Octagon. He is 34-years-old and it’s not very likely he’ll work his way back to the UFC.

Charlie Brenneman had the most successful UFC career out of all the recent cuts. He had a total of eleven-fights in the UFC. Unfortunately he lost his past three and only won four of those eleven-fights. Although he’s only 33-years-old, the UFC’s lightweight division is the most crowded, and it’s unlikely that he’ll return to the UFC.

After doing some investigating into the official Twitter accounts of the six men, only four mentioned something about being cut. Those Tweets are posted below.
