Titan Fighting Championship Signs Pat Healy
Former Strikeforce title contender and UFC lightweight Pat Healy has signed with Titan Fighting Championship. Vendetta Fighter received the news from Titan FC, although no contractual details or when he’ll make his debut was revealed.
Pat Healy has an MMA record of 30–20-1. He fought in numerous organizations until making his debut in Strikeforce back in 2010. Healy went 7-1 in Strikeforce and was on the verge of a lightweight title shot before ZUFFA shut down the organization and absorbed most of it’s roster into the UFC.
Healy had his second UFC fight against Jim Miller at UFC 159. Healy put on an impressive performance and defeated Miller in the third-round by submission.
However, Healy failed his post-fight drug test for Marijuana and the New Jersey Athletic Control Board overturned his victory and ruled it a No Contest. Healy was then suspended for 90 days for failing the drug test and his submission bonus was rescinded by the UFC.
Pat Healy then went on a downward spiral, losing fights in a row, all by unanimous decision and was released by the UFC.
Healy most recently fought on December 20th, 2014 at Arena Tour 4 and picked up a win over Bellator veteran Ricardo Tirloni.
