Uriah Hall vs Derek Brunson Added To UFC Fight Night 94

A middleweight bout between Uriah Hall and Derek Brunson is set as the co-main event for UFC Fight Night 94. The UFC announced the news last night via their Twitter account.

Uriah Hall was a finalist on TUF 17 and first got noticed by UFC fans when he landed the devastating highlight reel spinning kick that KO’d Adam Cella. He would go on to lose the show at the finale to Kelvin Gastelum.

Since The Ultimate Fighter show, Hall has compiled a UFC record of 5-3 with his most notable win coming over Gegard Mousasi with another spinning kick technique that led to a TKO. UFC fans were thrilled when a fight between Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva was booked for UFC 198, however, Silva was forced out of the bout and required gallbladder surgery.

Derek Brunson is 6-1 is his UFC career and is currently riding a four-fight winning streak with his last three wins all coming via T(KO). He last stepped in the UFC’s Octagon at UFC Fight Night 83 and finished Roan Carneiro in the first round.

UFC Fight Night 94 takes place on September 17th, 2016 at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
